Quilting Beings

Dana Stewart and Her Sewing Beings are Changing the World One Stitch at a Time

It all started when Dana Stewart was 16 years old and her grandmother gave her a quilt. Now, many years later, The Sewing Beings (originally the Q-Bees) have been lovingly creating and sending quilts to various organizations as:

  • The Stollery Children’s Hospital

  • The Little Warriors

  • Bags of Love

  • Ronald McDonald House

  • The Geomeer Project

  • individuals such as injured RCMP Officers

  • The SPCA (dog beds)

The group’s most recent project Dress a Girl Around the World, has to date sewn over 800 dresses that have been sent to such places as Madagascar, Kenya, Cambodia and Mexico.
